One of the largest cities in New York, is always a whirlwind of events, with places of interest everywhere not see all. Some people come here to enjoy Broadway shows; some actually come to buy and eat; and many come to see the sites: The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the surrounding areas, and many of the world’s most famous museums. Many of the best places to visit in New York are within walking distance of each other, or just a short walk, making the city a pleasure to see.

Some of the most innovative tourist attractions opened in New York in recent years, such as the High Line and One World Observatory, offer a different view of the city. Any time of the year and any time of day or night there is an endless amount of things to see and do in New York.

1.Visit The Statue of Liberty New York

The Statue of Liberty is a gift from France to America… Built-in 1886, it remains a world-famous symbol of freedom and one of the most iconic American paintings. It is one of the world’s largest statues, standing less than 15 feet [15 m] high from the stand to the torch, and weighs 150,000 pounds [450 kg].

You can see the image from below, with the most beautiful views from Battery Park, just south of Manhattan. So, to really appreciate the Statue of Liberty, the best thing to do is take a short boat trip to Liberty Island and see it nearby. You can walk around the base, enter the base, or, for the front protection, go up to the crown.

Instead of visiting the Statue of Freedom new york, you have the option of stopping at Ellis Island and exploring the Migration Museum. This impressive museum is in the history of a complex marketing campaign, where thousands of foreigners have settled before entering the United States. We chose to not go to the empire state building, as we wanted to see this iconic building from the 70th floor. On the Top of the Rock Observation Deck of the Rockefeller Center, we enjoyed the most incredible view over the city of dreams.

I’m not sure if you are still able to do this, as we were places visit in New York back in 2012. When you go into the American Eagle store, you’ll get your chance to your 15 seconds of fame!
Not only for this, but the whole square is pretty impressive. As we are from a small and we live in a small village just outside Antwerp,… time square looked HUGE to us. All those billboards, shops, people,… it was pretty overwhelming!

The Brooklyn Bridge, with its Gothic arch and hanging cables, is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and has inspired generations of poets, songwriters, and painters. This historic bridge, which spans the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn, was completed in 1883 and is the world’s first steel suspension bridge. You can see it from many ferries, or the eastern side of Manhattan, but the best way to experience this icon is on an hour’s walk and across the Brooklyn Bridge. The wooden plank walkway, open only to pedestrians and cyclists, sits above the traffic lane. If you’re not ready to walk the whole distance, at least go as far as the first pillar, where there is a viewing platform, and you can see one of the granite towers up close. From the bridge are great views of Manhattan, the East River, and beyond to the Statue of Liberty. Cycling over the bridge is another option, but foot traffic is often very heavy, and cycling can be slow and challenging on busy days. Be aware that access to the bridge starts from the water’s edge.

The 110-year-old World Trade Center twins once ruled in Manhattan. But were destroyed by suicide jetliners on September 11, 2001, in a tragic death. Where it once stood the two towers of the World Trade Center. now stand on two sides showing the pools each acre in size. Known as the National September 11 Memorial, the site is a tribute to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks on September 11, 2001, and also six people killed in the first World Trade Center Bomb in February 1993. Surrounded by trees and grass, ponds are lowered, and water flows from the sides and flows as if deep. Around the lakes, there are brass panels with the names of all those killed in the attack.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum is in a magnificent, painted glass building, between two pools. It exhibits its exhibits which include products, photos, and videos, highlighting the 9/11 story, as well as the past and present. The building is built around the remains of the World Trade Center and includes ancient buildings within the magnificent new museum building.

The monument and the museum are located just south of the One World Trade Center, on Greenwich Street. It is also worth noting that this area is located across from Greenwich Street, along with the Westfield World Trade Center and Oculus Plaza… You can’t miss this building with its white studs and rock-like appearance. This public building has shops and state-of-the-art shops, but it is worthwhile to go inside to take a quick look at the building.

    Walking, pedaling, or riding in a carriage through the crossed paths of Central Park is a must-do at any time in New York. In winter, you can even tie your skates and skate on the Vollman rink. In Central Park, there is a place called Strawberry Field, which is dedicated to John Lennon. It was dedicated on October 9, 1985, in honor of what would have been the birth of John Lennon the 45th. Strawberry Fields is located just across the Dakota Building, where he lived and was murdered.
